The first day on the road… what a great feeling to enjoy the freedom of my motorbike again! After struggling a bit at the beginning it seemed I was on a good way again š The opposite seemed true for Joao’s bike which needed to beĀ repaired after it was still losing oil…
Well, luckily they did not sell their carĀ yet and we could start our journeyĀ together. We were in fact not riding too far the first day and the journey took us to a romantic tiny village called Monte Alegre do Sul.
I could not believe my eyes that already after one hour of driving we were in the middle of the nature. Jungle was surrounding the fazenda and birds, monkeys and humming birds were surrounding us. Incredible…
First, We explored the historic city centreĀ with its beautiful buildingsĀ and cobblestone streets and did thereafter a guided Cachaca tasting tour. Wonderful… Certainly, we also had to enjoy the beautiful pool in the middle of the mountains and were enjoying the view over the green valley.
In the evening we went out for having all you can eat pizza in one of the neighbourhood towns after we realised that all restaurants in Monte Alegre do Sul were closed that day, lol.
Absolutely stuffed we went back to the Fazenda and fell immediately to sleep š
